U.S. dollar rises on NT$ on Taipei Foreign Exchange

TAIPEI, Taiwan -- The U.S. dollar gained against the new Taiwan dollar on the Taipei Foreign Exchange Monday, increasing NT$0.018 to close at NT$32.553.

A total of US$666 million changed hands during the day's trading. The U.S. currency opened at the day's high of NT$32.685 and dipped to NT$32.435.
