He spoke of the investment Saturday during the emergency economic summit in Washington, where he was among leaders from nearly two dozen countries. His remarks were reported by the state-run Saudi Press Agency. The agency said Abdullah pledged in his remarks to work with other nations to “ensure the recovery and growth of the global economy.” He also warned that the Middle East was not immune to the effects of the crisis.
