Some hospitals at areas unaffected the by flood devastation in August said their vaccination work went more smoothly as there are no flood victims in their region. Officials at the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) urged parents to take their youngsters to the hospitals for the shots as early as possible for protection. With over 1,000 classes canceled as a result of the A(H1N1) swine flu, MOE officials said schools should in principle make up the class and hours lost. But with possible surge in the number of infected cases as the temperature moves lower, MOE officials will hold a meeting on Thursday with officials from county and municipal officials to discuss a more flexible measures to allow deduction in the make-up hours. The officials said that despite the temporary suspension of classes, the teachers should still give their students assignments for self-study at home with the help of their family.
