Teams take it easy on eve of Super Bowl

The Giants were on their way to the University of Indianapolis for their final pregame training session when one of the four buses shuttling the team broke down.

But the National Football League quickly commandeered another bus to get the players back on route and in time for their final practice session, a 48-minute walk-through.

The practice included 10 minutes of work on special team situations then alternating between the offensive and defensive teams.

Running back Ahmad Bradshaw showed no signs of pain as he completed his offense drills as the teams took it easy while Indianpolis was buzzing with excitement on the eve of America's most-watched annual sports event.

“He looked fine, no soreness, nothing you could notice,” New York head coach Tom Coughlin said. “This was all situational stuff, nothing unusual. It was a Saturday morning jog-thru, all situations.”

The Patriots took the day off, but spent 90 minutes at Lucas Oil Stadium posing for their official team Super Bowl photos.

“We know were here for a job but it's also a fun thing to be part of this game so its fun to be seeing them enjoying it,” New England coach Bill Belichick said.

“This is what we all work for. To be here. You want to be here, you want to enjoy it, there's a job to do but you want to be able to enjoy the trip.”

Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski, who remains in doubt for the game because of an ankle problem, was walking comfortably, giving Belichick cause for optimism.

“I think hes doing better,” Belichick said. “I think he's doing a little better each day. We'll just have to see where things (are) and get through tomorrow.”
